G.A.L.A. Film/Documentary Library

G.A.L.A. believes that film is a powerful medium to instigate change. Our goal is facilitate film/documentary screenings that educate people about issues of environmental or social concern, but more importantly, inspire people to take local action in response to a film's content. G.A.L.A. film screenings are held at venues throughout New Hampshire. So far these venues have included the Wolfeboro Public Library, Mocha Rizing in Sandwhich, Pinkham Notch Visitor's Center in Gorham, Terra Perma in Laconia, and the Eastern Slope Inn in North Conway. Check the upcoming films and calendar of events links to learn about the next film screening near you!

Or better yet, host a film screening yourself! If you find a venue - your home, church, store, school, library, etc. - G.A.L.A. will help you promote and facilitate the film screening of your choice from our growing media library.

Can't find a film that interests you? G.A.L.A. also invites you to make recommendations of films or documentaries relating to sustainability (very broad!) that you have found especially inspirational or informative. We will condier these reccomendations as we develop the media library. You may also email your recommendations to . Please include cost for screening rights, viewer discretion, duration, and other details you deem appropriate.

Unfortunately, our First-Friday Film Series at the Wolfeboro Public Library has been cancelled due to a library policy that limits the use of this public space to four times per year by all nonprofit organization. This monthly event was FREE and open to the public and was not preventing another community organization from using this space. If you are frustrated by this policy and would like to see the monthly film series resume at the Wolfeboro Public Library, you are encouraged to call 569.2428 to express your concern.
